Where have all the Bloggers gone?

Where have all the bloggers gone?
 Long-time ago.

We've all taken some time off - but so many bloggers are no longer, blogging and doggone it, I miss them. I wonder about them at times. Are they ill? Have they died? What is their struggle? Maybe they've stopped because they believe no one is reading. I read and enjoy - I'm just not good with a witty comment.

Is blogging dying out? I hope not.

As an introvert, I am also quiet. Blogging for me is a way to express what I have trapped inside me. I do take times off - more now than I used to - life shows up, you know. When I am not blogging, I do think of my readers. I keep telling myself, I need to at least let them know I am alive and well.

I would EXPLODE if I couldn't express myself by blogging. It's easier for me now; rather than actually writing in a journal. My fingers aren't used to the writing anymore.

I just want you ALL to know, that I appreciate you and your blogs - Stay healthy, okay?

  1. I've noticed a drop too. I'm not sure where they went. A lot left when Facebook came on the scene. I prefer blogging over Facebook and like you I do take breaks but I always end up back here. I do need to write down the instructions though to my hubby on how to make a blog entry in case something happens to me so he can let others know. I go back and look at old blogs that haven't posted in years and I do wonder what happened to them. I would want my stuff taken off the Internet if I'm no longer around. So for the time being, I'm here :)

  2. I've wondered the same thing. I do take "breaks" now and then but I usually try to let my readers know beforehand (but not always...) Sometimes my breaks are unintentional. I enjoy reading your blog posts. Keep 'em coming :)

    1. Yeah even bloggers need time away. Perhaps, taking a few days off a month, would help us continue on...

  3. I feel like that tombstone.

I used to blog every day for almost eight years. I see bloggers come and go, but lately it is more go. Now I have decided to only blog when inspired and not make it a regular regimen. I do not seem to be inspired that often.

  4. I've been wondering the same thing, Debby. So many have gone, and I think they are on other sites like Instagram, but some come back to blogging cause I've heard they don't get the interaction with friends on Instagram like they do with blogging. I've been asked many times to go on Instagram, but I think I can only handle my little blog right now. Glad I found yours, and enjoy hearing what's going on in your world.

    1. I don't get instagram. Just never grasped that. I don't blog to gain a huge audience. I blog to get things off my chest - journal my life. I often come back to re-check my own blog, on something I know I wrote about. So its like my diary. I don't think you can do that on Instagram.

  6. I've not been blogging because I spend my free time trying to trace my family tree. I still have tons of things to talk about when I get around to it. I look at bloggers on my blog list and find that the majority of them no longer blog and never said why they were leaving. So, I am like you. Where have they gone?

  7. I agree, so many blogger don't write anymore and I miss them! Some of them do put a lot of stuff on Facebook! I try to keep up my blog but it's hard because I work full time still.

    1. Yeah that would be hard if you are still working full time. I NEED to blog, to get things off my chest. Cheaper than therapy!!!

  9. Finding time to visit everyone and writing a blog takes a bit more time than I have been able to find. Now I just visit a few of my favorite blogs. I'm hoping to get back to blogging with next years A to Z.

    1. Yeah A-Z really can be a useful tool, to develop the habit of blogging daily. Gets those creative juices flowing again.

Comments are good - I admit, sometimes I don't respond back, in time for a dialog. I bad! I will TRY and do better. Thanks for understanding.
