Best thing about being sick...

I think the best thing about being sick is the first day, you start feeling good again. For me, it's as if my brain has turned on the throttle, I am sharp, clearheaded - my energy level is higher than it was and there's that feeling of HOPE, that I am on the road to recovery.

And I am feeling GREAT this morning. By evening last night, I felt so good I even starting believing that perhaps...just maybe...I could attend the ball. It's too risky, I guess. I can't take 3 days to work up to eating a meal. Plus, what if I get an attack while I am there? It just SUCKS. One more week, was all I needed.

My son, Navy came to visit me the other day after work. That made me feel so good. Just to talk and get one of his famous wonderful hugs.

My father-in-law is attending the ball as well. Together, they went out to buy him some pants and a dress shirt. He uses a motorized wheelchair. He wears a 3xxx size. The only place that has those sizes on short notice is either Walmart or Kmart. They were fortunate. Although he won't be wearing a dinner jacket - I am sure it will be fine. He's 91 and in a wheelchair. No one expects him to dress to the Nines. My step-daughter has a long dress that should be fine.

I do feel left out.

Oh well, I'll just stay home and eat crappy low fiber food.

  3. I'm glad you are doing much better. When you are very sick, it is easy to think it will never end. It is a wise move to not go to the ball. It would be fun. You could get yourself too tired and get sick again.

Comments are good - I admit, sometimes I don't respond back, in time for a dialog. I bad! I will TRY and do better. Thanks for understanding.
