I have 2 dresses now

I started looking at semi-formal dresses on the internet and they are pretty fancy. I can't get an evening gown - it will be just too long and I'd have to get it altered. The dress I bought at JC Penneys, is prettier than the picture. Granted, I am not madly in love with it - I figure, it's just a dress.

But, I do want my husband to be happy.

So I ordered a dress online for $186

I actually like this one. It reminds me of a flapper-style dress. This length will work plus it has the glitz my husband wants. No cleavage for God's sake. I am 63 years old and I save all that for the husband at home.

Heck if the man, wants me to spend the money, then I will. I plan to keep the other dress just because.

Okay, now I have to get a wrap, shoes, undergarments, and a purse.

My Hair: I will have a friend give me a french braid down my back and stick some glitzy stuff in it.

  1. I like the flapper style, too. I've never spent that much money on one article of clothing. Would your husband like to buy something for me, too?

    Love,

    1. I never have either. It does make me sick, with the few others things I have to purchase. Like I said before, I'd rather have bought new curtains!

    2. I'd rather have the curtains, too, but maybe you'll be able to wear the dress to some other special events.

  2. Much easier and cheaper for a guy, pull out a n old suit and polish up some shoes.

    1. Well we'll see. I won't look like the models - shorter and chubbier

  4. I like both dresses. I agree about cleavage. I hate the old broad who has to deck out the old boobs. I think it is the women who look at them the most. lol

It's fun to get guzzied up and go out. Have a good time.

    1. Ha, you might be right on that! They say, (whoever "they" are) that women actually dress for other women and not men.

  5. I like the first one myself, but whatever you choose to wear, I'm sure it will be stunning!

    1. The cost of the 2nd one makes me ill, and I am almost hoping it doesn't look right.

  6. I actually like the one you bought at Penney's better than the other one. Or maybe it is just that the model in the second dress doesn't look great in it. Have fun.

    1. I have no idea if it will fit or how it will look on me. It should come this week.

  8. I won't buy clothes online because what looks good in photos often don't look good on my body

    1. That's true. It hasn't come yet and so the verdict is out, as to whether it fits right and is as nice as the picture

Comments are good - I admit, sometimes I don't respond back, in time for a dialog. I bad! I will TRY and do better. Thanks for understanding.
